barrel - Factory inscribed "JMT" on butt of
revolver with
blue finish and Colt hard rubber stocks. This
Police Positive was one of 20 in a shipment to the City of
Meriden, Chief C.B. Bowen, Meriden, Connecticut on November
23, 1908. Letter confirms factory
inscription "JMT" on the butt of the revolver.

Police Positive .38 Factory Inscribed serial number
12938
with 4" barrel - right side. Revolver is fitted with
Colt black hard rubber stocks. Front
site is standard early rounded type.
Serial number 12938 is marked on cylinder crane and
frame.
Original factory stocks are numbered to the revolver 12938
which was done when they were originally fitted to the gun.
Nickel stock screw was standard.
